Katy Perry’s Glamorous Look at the 2014 Grammys

Katy Perry was a standout on the Grammy’s red carpet Sunday with natural looking yet, glamorous make-up.   Katy’s make-up was styled by Jake Bailey using Covergirl’s affordable beauty products available at your local drugstore.  Read on to find out the specific products Katy wore and get tips from her hair and make-up artists.

If you’re interested in duplicating Katy Perry’s Grammy look,  we have the inside scoop.   Make-up artist Jake Bailey told us exactly what Covergirl products he used on Katy for the Grammys.  Before Jake applied Katy’s make-up he moisturized the singer’s skin with Oil of Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream (priced at $30.99.) Then he mixed COVERGIRL BB cream and COVERGIRL TruBLEND Liquid Foundation together and applied them to Katy’s skin to give her skin a glow.   The highlight of Katy’s Grammy look was her eyes.  Jake outlines these simple steps to get the look:

1)  Outline the eyelid with COVERGIRL Bombshell Liquid Liner.

2) Coat the  lashes with Bombshell Volume Mascara, top and bottom. Use the first coat to get that volumized look and then apply the second coat for the intense “jet black wet lash” look.

3) To highlight the eyes, apply Covergirl  Bombshell Shine Shadow in the “Gold Goddess” shade to the crease of the eyelid, then highlight the  lids and brow bones with Flamed Out Shadow in Blazing White.   The Bombshell Shine Shadow is designed to give the eye a  shimmer for that red carpet look.

4) To finish the eye makeup, define a strong brow with an eye pencil.

It all sounds easy enough when Jake Bailey describes it, but I had to write it down to get all the steps so I can try it at home. The rest of Katy’s look was natural  and matched her Princess like Valentino couture gown. Her lipstick was Covergirl lip perfection shade “Heavenly” available for $7.75.

If you try this at home, leave me a comment and let me know how you do.  I’ll be practicing this look over the weekend.
