Introducing British Fashions on the Very Website
As a fashionista of English heritage, and lover of British fashion, I’m always on a quest to find my favorite British designers on sale via US Internet shopping channels. This has not always been easy. I usually buy many of my British fashions via eBay sellers, and I pay shipping from the UK and sometimes, even customs charges. This is the price I’ve always been willing to pay though to get fashions from Giles Deacon, Alice Temperley, Roland Mouret, Stella McCartney and other favorites. That’s why I am excited about the forthcoming launch of an Internet site called Very.com which will sell British fashions.
In the build up to the launch of their site, Very.com has launched a Facebook contest and a Facebook page offering fashion bloggers like myself the chance to win shopping money, in the amount of $1000 a year, for 20 years. That’s a nice prize, isn’t it? So, I’m writing here to ask my fabulous readers to give me a vote in the Facebook contest.

I’m a late entrant and the contest ends on Nov. 9th. Like Elizabeth Taylor, I will be late for my own funeral, but better late than never. The good news is there is something in it for you if you vote for me. When you cast your vote, you will be on the list to receive an invite to Very.com’s special online VIP event where you will get 20% off any purchases on the site. That’s a nice perk with the holiday’s coming up. It’s looks like a good deal because the site preview pictures on Facebook look like they will offer some nice Holiday party dresses and tops for the festive season coming up. If you vote, just please vote on or before Nov. 9th to help The Recessionista fulfill her champagne wishes and caviar dreams for British fashion treats.
Disclosure: In the interest of full disclosure per FTC guidelines, I want my readers to know that this is a sponsored paid post from VERY.com and that I will be receiving compensation for writing this post on the contest and the site launch. However, I also want my readers to know that I am not writing the post only for the offered compensation. If you read here, you know I am an Anglophile and that I am always jonesing for my Brit Fashion fix. The first blog post I wrote in 2008 launching this blog was about the Celia Birtwell collection for the Express stores. So, I am truly excited to find an Internet site that will offer British fashions for sale. I think that the offer for the 20% off coupon may also be of interest to those of you looking for holiday fashions. Click here to cast your vote.
