New York Fashion Week: Charlotte Ronson Fall 2013 Show Scenes
I didn’t get to see the Charlotte Ronson Fall 2013 show at last week’s New York Fashion Week, but since fashion week, I have looked at the show pictures and videos. I really like what I have seen and it’s a real departure for this designer. This is a fun, flirty collection with colorful prints. Although there’s still plenty of leather and mesh, there’s not as much of the 90’s rock star grunge look that I felt Charlotte Ronson showed us in the past. This is a designer who is clearly emerging and growing.
I thought it might be fun to post the scenes from the show for my readers to view. There’s still plenty of rock star leather looks and a fishnet jumpsuit that only one of the Real Housewives of Atlanta could love, but overall, there’s plenty to love here. Some of the prints and patterns are gorgeous and remind me of English Victorian vintage prints. The floral dresses are reminiscent of 1960s styles worn by Twiggy and Lulu. The designer’s lower priced recessionista line “I Heart Ronson” line is still available at JC Penney, and you can see echos of those looks here.
