Lower Priced Versions of Chelsea Clinton’s Wedding Dress are already in the works

America’s Princess Chelsea Clinton was a beautiful bride this week in gorgeous Vera Wang Gown. The dress was strapless, with a full skirt and a glittery belt wrapped around the waist. Since we don’t have royalty in America, it’s a unwritten rule that the President’s daughters are always our princesses. Chelsea chose a $20,000 Vera Wang silk organza gown for her ceremony.  And no surprise, the recreations of the look are already in process. Website eDressme.com is working on a a $990 version  of the gown, to be available in October.  That’s is still high priced, but considerably less that the original.  I’ll be interested to see if Vera’s line for David’s Bridal includes a replica of Chelsea’s dress. The collection will be available in the US in early Spring 2011 and in Canada by the end of 2011.  Consistent with David’s Bridal’s price points, the new collection of gowns will be priced under $1500.  The eDressme.com version of Chelsea’s dress has a head start by several months!   For jewelry, Chelsea chose custom designed diamond earrings.  Look for a similar pair on the webite MyJewerlyBox.com for under $200.00.

What do you think readers? Would you spend 20k for a wedding dress or even 1K?  The groom wore a Burberry suit.  I haven’ heard how much that cost.
