P&G Beauty Giveaway, including Oil of Olay
Happy weekend readers! I want to kick off the weekend in the blogosphere with a treat. I am giving away some award-winning P&G beauty products. I was contacted a while ago about partnering with The Motherhood about working with them about doing a social media campaign for Procter & Gamble (P&G) beauty products. It was easy for me to say yes to that because I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, the hometown of P&G. I have used their products for many years and Oil of Olay has long been part of my beauty routine. I’m very diligent about my skincare, and I use many different products to maintain healthy skin. My daily routine includes washing my skin in the morning and evening, moisturizing daily and using a good exfoliant product every week to slough off dead skin. My secret weapon has long been Olay Regenerist night recovery moisturizing cream. I use this cream every night. After I take off all my makeup, I apply this great cream every night on my clean skin and my neck. My mother has used this cream for years and introduced me to it. It’s long been our family beauty secret and you can buy it at the drugstore or online. At most retailers it sells for about $20.00 or even a bit less. This low-priced cream performs better than many higher-priced creams sold at upscale department stores. I find it one of the best ways to lock in moisturizer to the skin. My other beauty secret is H20. I drink at least 8 glasses of water every day, sometimes more. Every now and then, I may indulge in a diet soda, but for the most part I stay away from soda and try to drink water with every meal. I don’t post a lot of pictures of me on the blog, especially without makeup. I prefer to had behind the blog screen:) However, I’m making an exception for this post. Below is a pic of me with little make-up, although I did wash my hair. I’m posting to show how good you skin can look with just a little natural nurturing, and no botox. The Recesssionista is in the Botox free zone despite living in Los Angeles.

My final beauty tip, go easy on the makeup. I go most days without makeup and only apply it when I am going out. I know some women religiously start their day with a full make-up application, but I am not one of them. Giving your skin a chance to breath is very important.
Darlings, take care of yourself. Incorporate a beauty routine into your daily life – even if your day is jam packed. I find that using P&G beauty award-winning pick can make keeping up a daily beauty routine easy & inexpensive. Here’s a few P&G products, alongside the awards or press recognition that they have won. It’s pretty surprising. As Consumer Reports has shown many times, beauty products don’t have to be expensive to be good.
