HSN Announces OZ Capsule Collection Featuring Top Designers
Would you ever think the Wizard of Oz could spark the thought of a fashion collaboration? Well, HSN and Disney do. They have announced a collection inspired by the upcoming file” Oz The Great and Powerful.” I was ready to dismiss this news flash until I read the list of designers and brands involved in this collaboration. The collaboration includes fashion, jewelry, beauty products and even home accessories. Featured designers and products includeNaeem Khan, Badgley Mischka, Adrienne Landau, Raven Kauffman, Urban Decay, DL & Co and Be&D. OK HSN, you had me at Naeem Khan and Badgley Mischka! These are two designers I would love to have the chance to shop for less than $500.00 US. According to HSN, “the apparel, accessories, jewelry and beauty pieces reflect the essence of the movie’s three, witches Theodora, Evanora and Glinda, drawing inspiration from their sense of style, personality and unique color palettes.” As for home accessories, I don’t know, do witches take care of their homes? Do they cook? 🙂
So what’s in the collection from these top designer names? My spies tell me these items will be on sale at HSN.com:
- Timeless by Naeem Khan feather cape, $299.90
- American Glamour Badgley Mischka sequin Hi Lo skirt, $139.90
- Steve Madden “Majkai” rhinestone loafer, $139.90
- Rarities by Carol Brodie Evil Eye pendant with chain, $119.90
- RAVEN by Raven Kauffman CoutureFlaunt Peacock screen bag (available in pearlized forest and purple), $595
- Glamour Badgley Mischka overlay sequin dress, $139.90
- RAVEN by Raven Kauffman Couture feathered collar, $325
After looking at the pictures, I like the Badgley Mischka overlay sequin dress, but I’m note sure where I could wear a feather cape, even if it is by Naeem Khan. Also , the feather collar at $325 seems overprices, and not exactly a thing of beauty. What do you think readers?
The collection will be on sale at HSN.com starting February 14. Look for a special special live 48-hour event on HSN on March 1 & 2. The movie won’t be in theaters until March 8th, so this is clever hype for the film.
