The First Lady Michelle Obama stepped out in Michael Kors for the State of the Union address.

If you watched the State of the Union last night, then you know it was a command performance by team Obama. Barack laid smack down on the Senate, and Michelle looked fabulous as usual in a two piece tweed suit with a zip front by Michael Kors.  As a soon a Michelle appeared on TV, the Michael Kors Twitter account proclaimed, “The State of Style, pretty powerful” with a link to an article about the suite on Yahoo Style.   The suit was customized for Mrs. Obama from a suit in Kors 2013 Fall collection that featured a zipper on the skirt that could be adjusted to show quite  a bit of leg.  The First Lady’s version of the suit had no zip front on the skirt.

Fashion Bomb Daily spotted the suit Mrs. Obama wore as a replica of one from the Kors 2013 Fall Collection

The two piece suit from Kors Fall 2013 collection was on sale at Neiman Marcus and the jacket is now sold out.   The zip front tweed skirt is still available priced at $597.00 on sale.

The pieces were sold separately and the jacket looks as good with solid black pants as it does with the grey tweed skirt.   If you liked the Kors suit, check out other pieces from his line that are similar  like the tweed and leather jacket from Kors on sale now at Saks Fifth Ave.

If you’re a fan of The Good Wife, you might have noticed the same Kors suit was worn by Julianna Margulies.  Instagram user Charles W Romaine spotted the suit and posted side by side comparisons.
