Eva Longoria fashion label set to launch in Fall 2016

It’s no surprise that Desperate Housewife actress Eva Longoria has announced she will launch  a fashion label with Sunrise Brands.  Eva spoke about her desire to do this when I interviewed her at her JCPenney bedding launch a few months ago.  Eva has announced a new partnership with Sunrise Brands, a New York and Los Angeles-based sportswear, branding and licensing company, to create an Eva Longoria fashion label set to launch in Fall 2016 with apparel, followed by footwear, handbags and fashion accessories. 

 So what can you expect from Eva’s apparel collection? Our spies tell us it will consist of sophisticated dresses, work wear and casual sportswear, featuring comfort fits, beautiful fabrics and unique denim washes. Retail partners will be announced with the Fall 2016 launch. The brand will also have its own e-commerce platform to be powered by Sunrise Brands’ digital division.

I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and it is a real privilege to partner with Sunrise Brands who brings their expert experience in the apparel world. I am excited to design a collection that will offer women versatility while evoking confidence, comfort, and a sense of glamour, ” says Ms. Longoria.

For Sunrise Brands partnering with Longoria gives them a strong digital and social presence via Longoria’s Twitter 7.28 million followers and 1.4 million Instagram followers.  Is Longoria a fashion designer? Certainly not, but she can front a brand and license her name to it.
