NYFW: Tommy Hilfiger Collaborates with Gigi Hadid
Model Gigi Hadid opens the Tommy Hilfiger New York Fashion Week Show.
Celebrity sells in the fashion industry, so it’s only fitting that the Tommy x Gigi, “collection premiered at New York Fashion Week with a collection that went on sale immediately after the show. The collection offers military jackets, leather pants, nautical sailor style pants and oversized jackets. In short, this is casual street style branded with Gigi and Tommy’s names. It maybe a merchandising bonanza, but as a fashion collection it’s hardly new and it doesn’t look like a Spring collection. There’s an absence of spring colors, just Hilfiger’s usual red, white and blue. Sorry–this is a yawn. I do like the printed silk maxi dress, but the $345 price tag seems a bit high.
