If you’re in Los Angeles, and you want to understand the latest in celebrity style and beauty trends, then Bergman’s EMMYs Style Lounge is the place to be.  We had the honor of dropping by this pre-EMMYs event last week to see luxury items, beauty products and fashions that might be worn by stars at the EMMYs or  be part of the EMMYs gifting for celebrities. An invite to Bergman’s EMMYs Style Lounge is coveted by both media covering Hollywood and Hollywood insiders.

Actress Jane Lynch was there, stopping by the lounge to visit the Sue Wong couture display.  Sue Wong has long been a favorite of ours for her gorgeous, intricate vintage inspired gowns.  Designer Sue Wong is a red carpet favorite for Hollywood events–no one ever looks bad on the red carpet in Sue Wong!

The lovely actress Kimberly Elise, who currently stars in VH1’s series “Hit The Floor,” was at Bergman’s EMMY suite checking out the lingerie from VIP sponsor Personal Touch.  It’s an unwritten law, don’t go to the EMMYs without the proper foundation under your red carpet attire.  Personal Touch offers several essentials for undergarments including seamless control panties and jeweled studded bra straps that can be used with any regular bra, you can just substitute the jeweled bra straps with the straps on our regular bra.

One of the most interesting items on display was the the FootMate System for soothing tired and swollen feet.  After covering New York Fashion Week, the EMMYs and London Fashion Week, I can’t wait to try the FootMate System.  This is a product for massaging and cleansing tired feet that will be attractive to in Hollywood after red carpet events, which are very hard on the feet.

The annual event took place at Hollywood hot spot the Fig & Olive restaurant on Melrose place.  Held just  a few days before the annual 68th EMMY Awards, over 100 of the  television industry’s Emmy® Nominated actors, former Emmy® winners, presenters, stylists and industry VIPS dropped by to take advantage of the gifting by top brands.

There was a veritable Who’s Who of TV and film stars dropping by the Bergman Emmy Style Lounge! We spied “Dancing With The Stars”  dancer Edyta Sliwinska trying out the stylish Dioo Audio headphones.  We also saw “People vs. O.J. Simpson” stars Ariel D. King and Tye White, “UnREAL” star Jeffrey Bower Chapman, “Black-ish” star Marsai Martin, “Dancing With The Stars” pro Alan Bersten, “American Horror Story” stars  Naomi Grossman and Jamie Brewer, “Glee” star Dot Marie Jones, “Empire” star Tasha Smith, Stephen Kramer Glickman of the band Big Time Rush, “Fuller House” stars Michael Campion and Soni Bragas, “CSI: CYBER” star Charlie Koontz, “Transformers” star Darius McCrary, “12 Years A Slave” actress Kelsey Scott and “Bones” star Eric Millegan.  You get the idea?

A highlight of all Doris Bergman’s style suites is giving back.  Every year, guests are asked to donate items and unwrapped gifts to young adults (ages 13-18) for a Pre-Holiday Gift Drive benefitting ‘Wednesday’s Child.’  ‘Wednesday’s Child’ highlights ‘harder to place’ children in the LA County foster care system who are in need of adoptive families.  Despite all the wealth in Los Angeles and the Hollywood glitz, in “Los Angeles County, alone, there are over 35,000 children receiving child welfare services,” says social worker, Professor William Wong. Ms.  Bergman always invites two foster children to join in on the event festivities and experience what it feels like to be treated as a VIP.  I love seeing the kids getting the star treatment, and I always bring several goody bags full of gifts to donate every year.   There’s nothing better than a great event that also honors those who are less fortunate!
