The social media, music and fashion worlds are all abuzz today over the launch of Beyoncé’s new album and accompanying music videos.  The fashionable Mrs. Carter is showing off her great figure in some classic swimsuits that are built to flatter the curvy.   In the new No Angel video, Beyoncé’s is wearing a Robyn Lawley plus-size white swimsuit.  In her Pretty Hurts video,  Beyoncé’ is wearing Norma Kamali’s classic Bill Mio swimsuit.

Beyoncé wears the Norma Kamali Bill Mio is her new music video “Pretty Hurts”.

The selection of both swimsuits by Beyoncé  is surprising.   No one would consider  Beyoncé’s shape to fit into the curvy plus-size fashion box, but the reality is plus-size lines for many designers are starting smaller.  Some start at size 10, some size 12 and size 14.  In her No Angel video, Beyoncé’s is wearing a Robyn Lawley plus-size  “Almost French” white swimsuit.  The Robyn Lawley plus-size swimsuits start at Australian size 10–certainly not a traditional plus-size–and go up to size 22.   And really, does the size even matter? The suite is striking and looks fantastic on Mrs. Carter!  I love that Beyoncé’ rocked Robyn Lawley’s suit!  You can find the “Almost French” One-Piece suite on Amazon for $175.00.

In the Pretty Hurt video, Beyoncé’ looks fantastic in Norma Kamali’s classic vintage style Bill Mio suit.   This is a suit that has been on the market for years and it will flatter any woman.  I myself own the $98.00 version on the suit that Norma Kamali sells on her website.  The Bill Mio yellow suit that Beyoncé models is the no-doubt the $350.00 version of the suit.    Ms. Kamali tells me that the suit’s high price tag is due to the durability of the fabric.  Some of the Bill Mio suits have lasted as long as  20 years.

What do you think readers? Do you love the fact that Beyoncé  wore two stylish one piece suits in her new music videos? I do!   There’s nothing “fast-fashion” about either one of these styles.
