London Fashion Week
Watch the Topshop London Fashion Week AW13 show & Google+ Hangout
As I reported earlier this week, Google and Topshop have partnered together to bring the Topshop AW 13 London Fashion Week show to everyone planet wide. What does that mean? Well, you don’t have to receive an exclusive invite to see the show or travel to London. Anyone can watch the show from the comfort and convenience of home via the magic of the Internet. The era where fashion shows were only for elite fashionistas, celebrities, tier one press and luxury buyers is over. In the Internet/Social Media era, the fashion week show doors are open and all are welcome via technology.
Topshop remains in the vanguard of retailers using the Internet and Social Media to bring fashion to the world. The brand remains the only high street retailer showing at London Fashion Week. See the show here.
The show was streamed via YouTube, but there’s more to this Virtual Runway that just a live stream. There will also be a Topshop hangout on Google+ that you can join. I’ll be making a special appearance at the hangout from Los Angeles. What does this mean? Via the hangout you can follow some of the models backstage, experience the red carpet and then see the show itself. The entire experience is free of charge and promises to provide viewers with a taste of what it is like not only on the fashion runway, but behind the scenes. So, save the date for tomorrow and if you’re in the US, get the coffee ready for a Sunday morning breakfast/brunch with Topshop. And fire up the Twitter too, since there will be a Tweet-off with prizes.
So Save the Date for Sunday, Feb. 17th (see the show replay above.) Here’s the Topshop AW 13 show & social media schedule :
