With the holidays coming up, it’s the time when we’re all looking for affordable holiday party wear.  You know what I mean. I’m talking about sequined tops, blingy accessories, great sparkling sweaters and flirty party dresses. If you’re on the hunt for something for a special event, do check out the H&M’s Conscious Party Collection. Available in stores now the women’s collection is filled with party essentials such as kimono blouses, high-waisted pants, dinner jackets and boho chic dresses. Red is the key accent color of this holiday collection, with lots of winter white and basic black thrown in.  Over in the Divided (juniors) area of the store, things are a bit more Goth with black draped dresses and pants featuring metallic details.

For those of us concerned with the health of the planet, and basically, that should be everyone at this point, note that the entire collection is made from sustainable materials, such as organic cotton, recycled polyester and Tencel®.  The collection continues H&M’s conscious work toward a more sustainable future in fashion.  H&M started down this path with their summer 2011 conscious collection.  Remember the fantastic white dresses from that collection, one of which the pregnant Natalie Portman wore on the red carpet?  This collection is every bit as stunning. If you seen it in stores, leave a comment and tell me what you think.
