I took a break from Fashion Week to attend the September 11th Memorial Services today at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.  This year marks the 10th anniversary of this tragedy.  It was overwhelming to hear the list of names read today and see the families of the victims marching with the New York Police Department and the NYFD today.  So much loss.  It’s really  a tough time to be in New York City and remember what happened here.  The only upside is the heroism that was shown by the police and firefighters. Many knew they would die, but they helped rescue people anyway.

The Emerald Society FDNY played the bagpipes today on 52nd Street and Fifth to honor the fallen.  The NYPD marched with the victim’s families after services at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Where ever you are in the world today, take a pause and remember these heroes in New York.  Fashion isn’t that important.  Remember tomorrow at 1pm EST/10 am PST is a moment of silence for the victims of Sept. 11th. I’ll be taking a moment to say a prayer.
