It is on! The Recessionista’s Black Friday 2012 Fashion Sale Guide Plus… Doorbusters!

As most of my readers know, Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, is the new Black Friday.  It’s a bit cruel for store employees who have to work on Thanksiving, but I understand some of them were working in the past to get ready for the Friday sales. That makes sense as we know the magic elves didn’t get the stores ready the day after Thanksgiving. If you are thinking of rousing yourself from a tryptophan (sleep inducing) turkey coma to head to the store, here is a little list of  fashion deals from retail stores, compiled via The Recessionista’s radar system. I’m breaking it down into categories, to try to bring you the best savings. For more deals from individual designers check out  our Black Friday Sales listing. Here we go!

Fashion

ASOS: From Nov. 22-25, get deals on the  high street retailer’s stylish fashions with 20 percent off sitewide using code BLACKFRIDAYBONUS.

H&M : Most H&M stores will open at midnight (now that’s early). Look special for goodies for the first customers in line,
Black Friday Specials:

Fashion finds starting at $5 (example pricing included above) Select outerwear styles at 50% percent off.Look for  Maison Martin Margiela returns at select stores 🙂

Zara stores will be opening early on Black Friday.  The New York stores will be open from 7am until 11pm, with the exception of the 34th Street store, which will be open from 4am (with free tea and coffee from 5-8am for those early birds). There will be discounts of 50 per cent off selected items in all New York locations

Topshop:  The chain is offering 30 percent off select merchandise online and in stores. As a special incentive, if you spend $30 you’ll get $10 off, spend $50 and get $20 off, and spend $100 and you’ll get $50 off your purchase.  So the more you buy, the more you save.  Further shopping incentives to get fashionistas into US Topshops include  30 per cent off selected merchandise, spree prizes of $100, $200 and $500, and the first 200 in line at the New York and Chicago stores will get Early Bird gift cards.  The Las Vegas flagship will be open from midnight, and the first 500 will be eligible for gift cards.

Kohl’s:  All I can say is Narcisco Rodriguez.  It’s amazing!!  However, Kohl’s is offering more than Narcisco with big sales when the store open stonight, Thursday night at Midnight, 12:00 am. Clothing and accessories for the entire family and all ages will be on sale. There will be 500 Early Bird specials.  Check out Retail Me Not for a Kohl’s coupon to save.  Look for discounts on Simply Vera, Dana Buchman, J Lo and more. Special: Kohl’s: 20% Off Everything + Free Shipping on $50  Black Friday will offer  up to 70 per cent off winter coats and jackets, sweaters for $9.99 and up to 60 per cent off all winter fashion accessories. Expect $20-30 off most other fashion items, and up to 60per cent off sterling silver jewelry.

Macy’s: Savings throughout the store and online. Also, clip the savings pass on their website. Check their website to see 250 items that will be on sale at 5 am at Macys.com and in-store. More deals are coming the week of Dec. 2nd. Did you get your friends and family discount cards in the mail yet?

JCPenney: Savings on  Mango, Nicole Miller, Ronson  Lulu Guinness, Jenny Packham and Bisou Bisou. Check their Facebook page for details. Click here for details and doorbusters. Here’s the scoop on individual fashion items.Boots will be discounted to $25, $50 puffer jackets at $30, and JCPenney winter jackets, usually $70, will be discounted by up to $30.  Look for savings on my current JCP favorites Lulu Guinness and Jenny Packham.

Nordstrom: Save 40% on your favorite designers at NORDSTROM. Plus, get free shipping and returns all the time.

Saks Fifth Ave: 8 AM – Noon in Saks stores. Up to 70% off original prices on selections for her & him. Special: Saks Fifth Avenue: Up to 60% Off + Free Shipping  Winter clothing will be discounted by up to 50 per cent, with a further 50 per cent off sale items. Spend over $100 on beauty and get a $25 gift card.

TJ Maxx–always low priced savings everyday, at all stores.  Stores open at 7 am or earlier on Black Friday, check your local store for details.

White House Black Market: Thursday and Friday take 25% OFF your entire purchase in boutiques and online.

 Big Box Stores:

Target; Doorbuster deals will begin at 4 a.m. on Nov. 23, and those who hold a Target REDcard will have early access to select Black Friday sale items online.

Sears: Check the Black Friday deals on their website. Sears opens at Midnight look for sales on Lands End and other fashion items.  Yes, they have Kardashian Kollection. No, it’s not on my pick list.

Kmart:  Blue Friday is what they call it.  They are opening early on midnight Thursday 11/23 for special savings. Check out the cashmere in the Jaclyn Smith collection  top-rated last year by Real Simple Magazine. Their website is offering extra savings of 50% off of Toys, specials on Electronics and more. Check the Kmart site homepage for details.

Cosmetics:

JC Penney/Sephora has Door Busters starting at 4 am.  I’ve been told their mascara, the quilted one, is fantastic.

Avon:  I’m a fan of their face creams, U by Unargo line and Jillian Dempsey products. Who knew Avon had Unargo cosmetics? I am loving the face powder. There are also lipsticks, but they only come in 3 colors right now. The prices are reasonable and the quality is good, on the level of more expensive brands like Estee Lauder and Clinique.

Doorbusters:
JC Penney: Offers a variety of doorbusters starting at 4 am .  Check our Black Friday list for details.

Old Navy will offer doorbusters, including special deals for the first few customers in line on Thanksgiving Day, $15 sweaters, and 50 percent off outerwear.
