Jessica Alba’s Honest Style: Splurge or Save
Since I posted about my visit to the Honest Company’s Birthday Party last week, a few of you have written in to ask me about Jessica’s stylish party outfit. So, we went right to Jessica’s team to find out what she was wearing. Here’s a break down of what Jessica wore to the Honest celebration– but warning, this is a “splurge” look. See my notes next to each item for how to get the look for less. Here’s what Jessica Alba wore at the Honest Company birthday party:
- Andrew Gn shirt: up close this was a really whimsical vintage looking piece the party pictures don’t do it justice. Embroideries and rich fabrics are a house specialty for designer Andrew Gn, so it’s really hard to find anything comparable to this exquisite piece. The closest item that would be similar would be, of course, Andrew Gn on eBay. Sometimes you can find one of his blouses on eBay for under $100.00. Watch the sale racks at Anthropologie and Etsy vintage listings for something similar.
- Roland Mouret pencil skirt: This panel cotton blend skirt with exposed zipper retails for $700.00 and is available on Net-a-Porter or Shop Style. The skirt was in a very body conscious style that has become a bit of a Mouret trademark. You can find a similar figure hugging pencil skirts for less at ASOS priced from $33.00 US.
- DVF black patent pumps These Dianne Von Furstenburg pumps are retail priced at approximately $278.00. A less expensive option is the Via Spiga Harriett Pointed Toe Pump in Black now on sale at Neiman Marcus Last Call for $69.50.
- Jennifer Zeuner “Honest” gold necklace. Jennifer Zeuner makes some very affordable necklaces, check out JenniferZeuner.com for details.
What do you think readers? Would you invest in this splurge look or go for a similar style and save? Over the years I’m see Jessica on various red carpets in everything from Oscar de la Renta to Phillip Lim for Target. Her taste ranges from the high-end to the low-end, but she always looks great.
