By  |

Academy Award winning actress Kate Winslet is making wearing hats more fashionable than ever.  The actress convinced her superstar friends to wear a “golden hat” (think Fedora) and then be photographed wearing the hats in a new book whose profits will benefit children with Autism.  Among the celebs posing avec the golden chapeau are Meryl Streep, George Clooney, and Leonardo DiCaprio.   I urge you all the check out this cute and very fashionable book.  The proceeds benefit children, like my own dear little nephew Max, who are challenged by Autism. The book is called The Golden Hat: Talking Back to Autism (Simon & Schuster, $29.95) and is available for sale now.  And who designed the Fedora featured in the book? Well that would be Albertus Swanepoel whose hats were sold last year at Target.   For see more fashions designed to benefit Kate Winslet’s Golden Hat foundation, check out  the collection of totes and T-shirts sold via the Golden Hat Foundation.
