New York Fashion Week: Custo Barcelona Spring 2016 is Slow

Playful and beautifully rendered, Custo Barcelona for Spring 2016 celebrated the art of Slow.
Custo Barcelona presented an impressive Spring-Summer 2016 collection called Slow at New York Fashion Week on a hot day at Pier 59 Studios. The collection takes its inspiration from the art of slow cooking, And Custo Barcelona got this fashion recipe just right. With Slow, Custo Barcelona celebrated the colorful, eclectic, one-of-a-kind personality of a woman who is unique and has her own rebellious style. The collection featured patchwork garments, dresses, coats, jackets, tops, tunics and pants featuring organic cuts inspired by ergonomics and puzzles. These pieces played on their muscular shapes, marked off with contrast stitching and gaps that emerge when they are joined, defying the conventional. It was beautiful to see these garment come down the runway. There’s never anything drab about Custo Barcelona!

Striking colors and layers are part of the Custo Barcelona “trifecta” three garments brought together by the same fabric and print in a single look
