Preview of Nicole Richie for Macy’s Impulse Line Planned for Glamorama 2012

Nicole Richie’s Macy’s Impulse collection is due in stores on Sept. 12, hot on the heels of New York Fashion Week. In advance of the launch, a few pictures of Nicole modeling pieces from the collection have been released.   Above is a picture of one of the dresses from the line, with a colorful print and an uneven hem line, the dress is rather striking.  Macy’s has high hopes for this collection. My spies tell me that they expect it to sell briskly.  Ultimately, consumers will decide if this collection, priced from $49.99 to $149.00, is worth their money.  If you’re in Los Angeles this week,  Ms. Richie and her collection are schedule to appear at Macy’s Glamorama 2012 in Los Angeles at the Orpheum theater in downtown LA at 8 p.m. Sept. 7. A second Glamorama event is planned in San Francisco for September 14th, although it will not feature Ms. Richie’s collection.

 Macy’s Glamorama (formerly known as the artist called Macy’s Passport)  is a benefit to raise money for AIDS Project Los Angeles and Project Angel Food. Now in its 30th year the event has raised over $30 million for local HIV/AIDS organizations in San Francisco and Los Angeles.  Well done Macy’s!  Dame Elizabeth Taylor would be proud.
