Saks Fifth Ave news: More Off 5th Stores Coming and a Jimmy Choo Contest

High-end retailer Saks has been busy this week with savings, special events, news and contests.  Showing they are  in tune with the tenure of the times. Saks will be expanding its retail strategy to include more Off 5th stores. BNET’s Retail Blog reports that , “An unspecified number of Fifth Avenue stores will close when their leases expire, and two Saks in Portland, Oregon are scheduled to shut their doors, said CEO Stephen Sadove. Meanwhile, the retailer will expand its Off 5th chain, which sells high-end goods at a discount. It could open as many as five of those locations this year, bringing its total to 60.”

 This is good news  for savvy shoppers.  I have long enjoyed shopping at the Off 5th chain, although I still enjoy the sales at the high-end Saks Fifth Avenue store.  The reason is they stock quality goods, the staff is helpful and its enjoyable to be in their stores.  After all, sometimes shopping for the best deal is hard work, and Saks has always provided a pleasant shopping experience for customers.  Hot on the heels of the news about their expansion of their outlet chain, some other great things are going on at Saks Fifth Avenue that you may want to take advantage of.  Here’s a little Saks round up for my savvy readers.
