Saks Off Fifth Opens in Los Angeles at Beverly Connection

Saks Off Fifth is opening a retail store in Los Angeles tomorrow, Thursday August 6th at the Beverly Connection on La Cienega. I had the opportunity to tour the store today, before the opening.   For women, the top attractions in the store are all the designer handbags (including vintage ones) and the thousands of designer shoes.  The new Saks Off Fifth store also features apparel for both men and women from more than 800 brands.  There’s everything from emerging designer labels to some of the biggest names in fashion like Prada,  RED by Valentino, Armani, St. John, DVF, Tory Burch and Elie Tahari.  (That’s right we love to name drop here on The Recessionista).  The store is smaller than the Orange County locations, and warning,you’ll have to endure the search for parking at the Beverly Connection to sore the deals.  If you have time tomorrow, the store is offering some great incentives for customers who turn up early to shop.  If you’re busy at work, enter for special giveaway here on The Recessionista starting August 7th. For the Grand Opening on August 6^th, customers are invited to visit the store an hour prior to opening for a chance to win fabulous prizes. $50 gift cards will be awarded every 10 minutes, from 8:30am until doors open at 9:30am, and one lucky winner will walk away with a $500 shopping spree.

If you can’t get out of the office on Thursday, look for deals through Sunday with giveaways, contests, and a live DJ on site.  The first 100 shoppers to arrive at the store each day from Thursday to Sunday will receive a special chocolate bar for a chance to find one of four golden tickets that are redeemable for $100 gift cards.
