Selena Gomez is the new face of Coach handbags

It’s official.  Selena Gomez is the new face of Coach handbags and the Coach “lifestyle brand.”  Fashionista reported this rumor earlier this week, and now Coach has confirmed it.  Ms. Gomez will appear in Coach’s fall 2017 fashion campaign.  Coach will also collaborate with the singer  on a “special design project with Coach Executive Creative Director Stuart Vevers.”

Bringing on Ms. Gomez is a calculated move by Coach to reach a younger audience.  Will it work?  It depends.  According to Coach in a press release they are undergoing a ” transformation returning to its heritage in leather, once again becoming the go-to resource for authentic, original, modern handbags and accessories, as a globally recognized fashion lifestyle brand. ”

It will be interesting to see the collaboration between Ms. Gomez and Mr. Vevers.   Ms. Gomez’s style is more Coachella than Coach in my opinion 🙂
