There is a very exclusive event tomorrow night, Fashions Night Out, that I must let my readers know about! If you’re in New York City Sept. 8th, you will want to check this out. There will be a special runway show at the Omni Berkshire Place in Midtown Manhattan. The first class hotel(with the new fabbie cocktail menu) will treat guests to a complimentary cocktail reception and fashion showcase from Australian eco-fashion designer Rachael Cassar inside the lobby on Thursday, Sept. 8, from 5-7 p.m. I’ve seen Rachael’s work and it’s very impressive. She wisely realized that the only way people will go for sustainable fashion is if it is good looking and chic. Like Stella McCartney, she designs to be environmentally friendly.
A rising star in the design world, Rachael Cassar is already well known in fashion circles for her eco-conscious couture. That’s why the Omni Berkshire Place is excited to partner with her to kick off New York Fashion Week. Talk about location, location, location. The Hotel is just steps from Fifth and Madison Avenues. With this type of accessibility, the hotel has long provided access to the world’s top fashion houses, and is thrilled to give guests a preview of Rachael’s newest collection. “To be able to show my collection during New York Fashion Week is an absolute honor. I am incredibly grateful to the Omni Berkshire Place for this tremendous opportunity,” says Rachael. For Americans, it’s a rare opportunity to see one of Aussie fashion’s superstars! It’s also an opportunity for people who love fashion to see a show if they are not in the fashion industry, press or department store buyers. Events like this make runway shows accessible to all. Following are the details.
