My Clearance Score: The Target Phillip Lim Pashli Bag

Yesterday one of my epic shopping quests came to fruition: I picked up the Target version of the Phillip Lim Pashli Bag for a mere $38.00 on clearance.  Looks like some of the Phillip Lim for Target bags are being returned either by consumers who overbought or eBay sellers.  This bag originally retailed for $54.99 at Target and I’ve seen people trying to sell these on eBay for several hundred dollars.  If you were lusting for a bag, check your local Target store.

My fellow blogger Target-Addict reports a similar experience.  She was able to score the Phillip Lim for Target Satchel bag on clearance at her Target store.  Both of us found the bags in the hanging in the Target handbag aisles, not the Phillip Lim display area in the store, along with other Target bags of similar colors.   So if you’re lusting for a Lim bag at the Target price, dig among the Merona and Mossimo bags to see if you can find one.

Is the the Target version of the bag the same as the  classic 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli bag?  Well no.  The Target bag is pleather, not leather and the hardware is not the better brushed hardware, but both bags are made in China.
