The Recessionista Interviews E!’s Giuliana Rancic on Fashion, Style and Joan Rivers

Giuliana Rancic, E! and realty TV personality is hosting a unique fashion show tonight at the Ontario Mills’ Mall. The event is the Celebrating Women Runway Event on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.  It’s a fashion show fit for savvy shoppers featuring discounted fashions from the mall including garments from Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Elie Tahari and many more. Celebrating Women is free and open to the public.  In advance of tonight’s runway show, I sat down with  Giuliana  for a chat about, style, fall trends and Joan Rivers!

Q) First how are you doing? I know my readers want to know how your recovery is going and that you are getting well.
A) I am doing great! It’s been over a year since my diagnosis and about a year since my first procedure. I can’t believe how fast time has gone by.  Thankfully, I am doing great!

Q) What are your favorite fashion trends for fall?
A)  Layering!  It’s all about layering in the Fall. You never know when you’re going to get stuck in cold – or warm- weather! I actually have some great layering pieces in my line – G by Giuliana Rancic for HSN.  I would suggest getting staples for Fall: a great layering jacket, a vest for the super cold days and a cute patterned scarf to add a pop of color to any outfit.

Q) Are you working on any more fashion/jewelry collaborations like you did for LOFT recently? 
A) At the moment, I’m just focusing on my own clothing line, but I absolutely loved working with LOFT on my necklace.  It was for a great cause near and dear to my heart, with a portion of the proceeds going to breast cancer research.  I would love to do more collaborations in the future.

 Q) Will you continue to work the E! Red Carpet and do Fashion Police with the uniquely stylish Joan Rivers? 
A) Absolutely!  I return to work from maternity leave in November and I cannot wait to get back on set and on the red carpet.  I love Joan Rivers. She is a true professional and an incredible lady!

Q) Any truth to the rumors that you are thinking of designer baby clothes?
 A) Not at the moment, but maybe in the future! That would be fun!
