Back in December Keds announced the launch of the Keds for kate spade New York footwear collection. The kate spade for Keds eight-style collaboration features playful prints including polka dots, gingham, chevron and nautical stripes in bright hues of navy, orange, and pink. These are no ordinary tennis shoes, they are a fashionista’s delight with  unique design details like slightly pointed or paint-dipped toes.  I have to confess during the winter months, it was hard to get too excited about the kate spade for Keds collection.  Keds sent me a pair to review, but I am just now getting around to wearing my pair now that the weather has warmed up.  Here’s what I think of the stylish sneakers.

The Kate Spade for Keds Chic and Cozy Sneakers

First, the sneakers are adorable.  They are stylish and tres chic.  Exactly what you would expect from the kate spade brand.  I’ve been wearing the slip-on pair pictured above. These are the Chic n’ Cozy design.  I’m giving these  shoes a big thumbs up for both comfort & style. These are easy slip-ons with a cute velvet bow on the front, covering a chic mosaic white on black print.  I’ve been wearing these for travel, since there easy on, easy off functionality is perfect for airport security check.   The shoes have a good inner cushion and rubber sole, giving decent foot support, something many tennis shoes don’t offer.  My only word of caution on the sneakers is try to get to the store to try on a pair.  I think they run a little bit small, or at least the pair I have does.  Before purchasing  them on try on your usual size and then try a pair that is a half size higher than your usual size to compare the difference.

If you like a little style in your sneakers, then you’ll want to check these out.    Other shoes in the collection feature laces and offer lively polka dot prints , hot pinks and stripes. The shoes make a great fashion accessory to go with a bright scarf, jeans and a matching top.  They perk up any casual outfit and scream Spring.
