JC Penney to Offer ‘Bijoux Bar’ Jewelry
Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) has a great story today about new jewelry offerings coming to JC Penney. High end jewelry designers, carried by the likes of Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdales, are about to hit the lower priced shelves at JC Penney. JC Penney has announced that they will carry upscale jewelry designers in a new lower priced collection to be called The Bijoux Bar. Pam Mortensen, Penney’s senior vice president and general merchandise manager of fine and fashion jewelry, told WWD: “We think “The Bijoux Bar”will attract a new customer and resonate with our current customers. The customer has been in our store but going to other places to buy this product.”
Look for the Bijoux Bar jewelry collection at 650 selected JC Penney stores and jcp.com on April 28. I like some of the preview pictures from the collection, especially the Kara Ross pin and cuff pictured above. Other featured designers in this collection will include: Kenneth Jay Lane, Doris Panos and Downtown by Lana.
