I’ve had a few questions in The Recessionista’s mail box about the maternity style of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton  lately.   Turns out that Kate, the royal recessionista, has been wearing some well-priced maternity clothes from brand Seraphine .  The dress she wore in her newly released family photos is a Seraphine dress.   Much of the Duchess’s maternity wear was priced under $100.00, including her Seraphine dresses.

The Fuchsia Knot Front Jolene Dress  is well priced at $79.   The elegant knot in the front remind me of the Duchess’s ISSA dresses she wore before she became pregnant. Although Kate is no longer pregnant, she’s wearing maternity clothes for a bit to be comfortable with her post baby bump.  As all new moms know, it can take a while for a women’s body to adjust after giving birth.

“She’s really showing she’s not trying to be like a celebrity. She isn’t trying to give an image meant to impress or pretend she’s already got a flat stomach,” Cecile Reinaud, founder and creative director of U.K.-based maternity label Séraphine, told Yahoo! Shine. “She’s sending a very nice message to new moms. A big thumbs-up to her.”

The Duchess has been a loyal fan of the Seraphine for awhile and was  recently photographed in Seraphine’s Blossom Knot Front Lavender Maternity Dress  ($85.) while visiting her family.
