Phillip Lim 3.1 for Target Ads and Preview Pictures
With the eagerly awaited Phillip Lim 3.1 Target collection coming to stores Sept. 15, images and ads of the collection are starting to surface. I noticed the above advert for the collection in this month’s Vanity Fair magazine featuring bags and a print dress very similar to Mr. Lim’s runway collections (the Pashli bag). Both the New York Times “T” Magazine and the Daily Mail Online have more pictures of the collection online now. Here’s what you can expect in Target stores come September.
According to the New York Time Magazine, “The palette is mostly neutral — gray sweaters, dark slacks, khaki trench coats and solid-colored button-down shirts.” However, there are a few prints like the dress in the magazine add. There are also some comic book prints posted by a fashion blogger The Key To Chic on Twitter. The Mail Online from the UK (one of my favorite reads) also post pictures from blogger @fashionfoiegras‘s Instagram.
The line is expected to offer 100 pieces for man and women. Prices will range from $20 to $300. Look for intimates, leather jackets , sporty shoes and Target’s trademark vinyl/ pleather bags. I’ll be interested to see this line in store. It would be nice to have a good-looking Phillip Lim bag for $35.00 US instead of the $895 US price tag for his Pashli bag ( from his runway ready to wear collection). I’m also hoping this line is sized for women, not for juniors as previous Go collections were. Stay tuned for more details as Target lets fashion bloggers into a preview next week in NYC. Our correspondent Lorna from The Fabulous Report will be covering for The Recessionista while we enjoy some vacation time!
