Buyer Beware: Kylie Jenner Makeup Making Consumers Sick
TMZ reports that Kylie Jenner make-up has been making consumers sick. According to reports, customers have reported getting severe “chemical induced headaches” after opening the packaging for Kylie Jenner’s eyeshadow. There are specific complaints about one eyeshadow in particular, Kylie’s Royal Peach eyeshadow. New reports of problems with the eyeshadow are being filed with the Better Business Bureau.
Last year consumers filed complaints on the Kylie Lipkits and the company narrowly avoided a F rating from the Better Business Bureau. Judging by the number of complaints in a short period of time, there is a manufacturing quality issue with these products.
According to TMZ: “At least 15 people filed complaints within the past 2 weeks with the Better Business Bureau, claiming they smelled “chemicals and glue” when opening Kylie’s Royal Peach Eyeshadow Palette.
Customers described the odor as “spray paint” or “paint thinner,” and one said it stunk so bad she put the whole package outside her house. There’s also at least one complaint of the makeup causing “a horrible headache.”
Readers, if you’re thinking of buying Kylie Cosmetics, please have a look at the reports from the Better Business Bureau. We checked the Kylie Cosmetics website and despite the reports of problems with the Peach Palette (which retails for $45.00) , it’s being heavily advertised on the Kylie Cosmetics website on the home page. That seems a bit irresponsible to say the least.
