Los Angeles: Burberry ‘The Cape Reimagined’ Exhibit
‘The Cape Reimagined’ an exhibition of Burberry’s limited edition made-to-order couture capes, is now on display at Burberry’s Beverly Hills flagship store until April 30, 2017. If you’re in Los Angeles or visiting as a tourist, this is an exhibit worth seeing. Burberry has been making exquisite capes for years, as far back as World War I by my recollection.
‘The Cape Reimagined’ exhibit features these Burberry capes : The Baroque, The Beaded Feather, The Ceramic Lace, The Chandelier, The Embroidered Scallop, The Gem Hood, The Jewel, The Metallic Pearl and The Silver Wing.
The capes in the exhibit were first introduced as part of the Burberry February 2017 London Fashion Week show finale. Each cape is truly a work of art.
The Burberry capes are handmade using unique constructions and referencing elements from the Burberry archive. The capes, all individually named and designed in the brand’s London atelier, and are available for special order.
‘The Cape Reimagined’ exhibition in Los Angeles is open to all with free admission during store hours (10am – 7pm) until 30 April. The Burberry Beverly Hills flagship store is located on Rodeo Drive.
