The Saks Designer Sale Begins

Although many retailers started their sales over the Memorial Day weekend, Saks Fifth Avenue waited until today to start their annual designer sale.  Savings are 40% off of the retail prices.  The savings are online only today, but in-store tomorrow.   This is a good sale to shop for designers or luxury brands that usually carry a pricey, sometimes prohibitive price tag like Jill Sander, Fendi, Derek Lam, David Meister, TIBI, Gucci, Armani and more.  See below for some of our curated picks from the Saks Fifth Avenue Designer Sale.

As a special incentive to shop, Saks is offering double SAKSFirst Bonus Point to charge card holders, but restrictions apply, so read the fine print.  Is the lure of the points enough to lure shoppers into a sale that is not exactly cheap?
