H&M has kicked off the marketing for their new Balmain x H&M collection with a campaign featuring Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

H& M has launched their advertising campaign from their upcoming Balmain collection featuring top models Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Jourdan Dunn.  Kendall and Gigi get more press right now than anyone but Pope Francis (which is sad comment on the news.) Because of their popularity, their appearance guarantees that attention will be paid to these adverts and it will help sell this collection. The print campaign for the Balmain x H&M collection was photographed by Mario Sorrenti and also features  male models Hao Yun Xiang and Dudley O’Shaughnessy.  The setting is a futuristic looking New York subway carriage with the models showing off the Balmain for H&M styles.  Here’s a bit more from the ad campaign and Balmain x H&M.

Balmain’s trademark embellished mini-dresses, and sweaters as well as tuxedo jackets are part of the collection,

Military coats and leather pants give the collection an edgy street style.

I look forward to seeing a preview of this collection at H&M to see if the fabrication and quality is as good as these pictures.  Based on the ads, H&M has not cheapened Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing’s style or distinctive touches (like patterned embellishments.)  My favorite piece from the collection is this Balmain for H&M dress with patterned embellishments.  Look for the Balmain for H&M collection in stores and online on Nov. 5, 2015.  I do hope that H&M customers get a chance to buy it before eBay sellers snatch the pieces for resale!

The gorgeous embroidered Balmain for H&M dress is a gorgeous replica of higher priced designs from Balmain’s couture line.
