Diane von Furstenberg To Launch Second Kids & Baby Collection for Gap

Ok I am officially upset. Gap  just announced plans for a second GapKids and babyGap collection by Diane von Furstenberg. The Spring 2013 DVF for Gap collection is expected to be available for purchase in April 2013 in select GapKids, babyGap and DVF stores globally and online at Gap.com.

Where is the low priced collection  for women from DVF?  Why do the babies get all the style for less.  It ain’t right I say!! We all got so excited when Target announced DVF was one of the designers for their Neiman Marcus-Target holiday collection.  But when the collection preview was announced, only a yoga mat and jewelry box from DVF were featured.  This isn’t what consumers want from DVF!  We want one of her iconic wrap dresses at a reasonable price.  But we are not going to get it, because DVF is going to bring her style to babies instead.    We’re weeping bitter tears at The Recesssionista.

So what can consumers expect from this collaboration? More of Diane’s iconic prints, signature silhouettes and optimistic color palettes.

“I really loved the challenge of translating my designs into the first DVF for Gap collection. It was so much fun to see little girls wearing the pieces, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with Gap on this second collection,” says Diane von Furstenberg .
