On a freezing cold day, designer Donna Karan presented her Fall 2015 collection with warm coats and turtlenecks that ran straight up to chin level. The warm looking outerwear was presented in gorgeous colors like cyan blue and rich red.  As always with DNKY there was an ease to the entire collection. The clothes were good looking, but nothing pretentious or inaccessible to working women in New York or elsewhere.

One striking garment in the collection was the “perfect navy double faced jersey collage dress with gunmetal inserts.”  There was a lot of layering with turtlnecks peeking out from oversized coats in solid colors and herringbone tweeds.  I have to confess, this is one of my favorite DKNY collections that I’ve seen on the New York Runway.  There was no taxi cab yellow or graphic prints in this collection, it was a bit more traditional in design perhaps, but the color palette makes it a standout.  If this is the New York uniform, then every woman will want to wear this.
