Last week at New York Fashion Week Kanye West and adidas Originals sent YEEZY SEASON 1 down the runway. The collection really looks like body stockings and Danskin tights. Fresh off his GRAMMYs rant about  Beck winning album of the year at the GRAMMYs, Kanye went off the reservation one more time on the runway.  YEEZY Season 1 described by West as the world’s first “solutions-based” clothing line, the individual pieces define a style that matches the relentless pace of contemporary lives. “I don’t want the clothes to be the life,” he says. “I want the clothes to help the life.”Presented during New York Fashion Week just before All-Star Weekend, the show was conceptualized by West in close collaboration with renowned contemporary artist Vanessa Beecroft.   I don’t know anyone who will run out and try to buy this shizz by Kanye  do you?

If you like dull colors, baggy over sized camouflage jackets and leotards, then YEZZY Season 1 just might be for you.  For me, with so much beauty and artistry on the runway at Fashion Week, Kanye ‘s collection is just a big YEZZY YAWN.

The most marketable piece of the collection is the YEEZY  footwear, featuring the YEEZY Boost. The  shoes included woven lo-top sneakers for men and suede stilettos and platform snow boots for women—developed in close tandem with adidas’ products team.

I know Mr. West fancies himself a fashion designer and gate keeper of musical artistry at the GRAMMY awards, but a fashion designer too? Really?
