Readers what did you think of the fashions at the Golden Globe Awards? The looks ranged from the classic with Jodi Foster in Armani and Adele in Burberry to the horrid. The horrid being embodied by Giuliana Rancic.  Since Giuliana is a member of the E! Fashion Police (a show that  has dished out an ample amount of unkind criticism for other stars on the red carpet) I was surprised to see her make such a stunning fashion faux pas.

In contrast, two ladies I loved on the red carpet were hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.  The funny ladies were a welcome relief from the rather nasty “comedy” of last year’s host Ricky Gervais.   I agree with Lady Gaga , there is too much negativity in some of the celebrity snipping.  In the words of Lady Gaga, do we really need to hear & see  “pointing in the camera, laughing, and making jokes about artists and celebrities as if we are zoo animals.” I didn’t miss the snarky Ricky comments this year, did you?

Not only did Amy and Tina rock the show as hosts, they looked fantastic on the red carpet.   Tina was in a strapless L’Wren Scott Dress with lace overlay.  The lace overlay look is everywhere right now and you can find that look at any number of discount retailers like H&M, Topshop, Kohl’s and Banana Republic.   I loved Amy Poehler in a Stella McCartney tuexdo jacket and pants.  It was a nice departure from all the pompe and circumstance of the gown and trains.  Amy looked not only beautiful, but comfortable  You can find Tuxedo jackets in Kohl’s Rock & Republic Line & Lauren Conrad collections.
