This year’s Golden Globes pageant of fashion wasn’t exactly a color parade. Although Mr. Joe Zee of Yahoo Style had predicted we’d see a lot of yellow, lace and romantic styles, what we actually saw was very different.  This year’s pageant of style was full of shimmering metallics, bright reds, and thigh high slits (too high in some cases). From J Lo to Reese Witherspoon to Kate Hudson shades of cream and white dominated the evening.  Here’s what caught our eye and our eye for the cheap  & chic.

Several actresses including Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren and Viola Davis opted for red this year at the Golden Globes and they all looked stunning.
