Happy Endings? Avril Lavigne’s Abby Line and more at Kohls

Last week I chronicled the strange pairing of Max Azaria and Miley Cyrus at Walmart. This week I have noticed that another teen rocker has entered the fashion ranks. The hard-rocking singer of “So Much for my Happy Endings” Avril Lavigne has a line at Kohl’s called “Abbey Dawn.” I don’t know about the name, but some of the stuff is cute. It’s available in sizes 7- 16. I just got my niece this little purple jacket, on sale for $24.00.

This little piece is age appropriate, so it’s fine for back to school. As I told the Bargain Babe, the Back to School shopping gig is not for the faint of heart. In addition to Avril, I picked up the following for the Recessioniecesta.

Shirts and Tops
I noticed tank tops and shirts at Walmart are two for $15. Also Old Navy and H&M have really cute stuff for boys, girls and teenagers. I don’t spend a lot on shirts for the kids because they invariably get stuff spilled on them and are subjected to numerous washings.

Accessories
I bought butterfly hairpins for $1 each at H&M. They have cheap ponytail holders and headbands. For accessories, Loehmann’s has some stuff – little pearl headbands for girls to pull their hair back. It looks far more upscale than it is.

Kohl’s has some great jewelry for little girls. Surprisingly nice necklaces and earrings. To check it all out, go to: http://www.kohls.com/backtoschool

There are great deals on jeans, shoes, college dorm furnishings and more. Here’s a little sampling of what’s on sale at Kohl’s until Sat, Aug. 8th.
