Kate Middleton’s Lace Overlay Dress Doppelganger Hits the Racks

One her recent trip to Canada, Kate Middleton, aka the Duchess of Cambridge dazzled in an Erdum midnight blue lace dress. Of course, she looked amazing in it. There is a reason that Kate was recently voted one of Vanity Fair’s best dressed. Since Kate stepped out in this lovely dress and by the way my mother had a dress like this she wore in the 1960s) I’ve seen a few doppelgangers hitting the budget racks. H&M has just put a similar dress into stores for about $35.00 US. They also have a navy blue lacey top with buttons down the back for about $25.00. Check out the dress from H&M below.

I also saw a similar dress from Ecci in Ivory on a recent shopping excursion to TJ Maxx for about $35.00. It’s interesting that this vintage look is suddenly back in style.

Back in the 1960’s I had a lacy crochet dress that went over different colour plain underslips – great idea of my Mum’s because I could have a different look for every Saturday night dance.
