Kohl’s Rings in the Holidays with Chic n’ Cheap Gifts and Fashion
Kohl’s is kicking off the holidays with a bang, and lucky for all of us, some great sales. There are reductions throughout the store, plus they have designed some new areas of their website to help consumers shop by price. I think this is a great idea, and from a web perspective its extremely user-friendly. The gift guide offers everything from foodie fantasy (their Food Network line), fashion (Vera Wang, Dana Buchman and LC) to kids toys, electronics and menswear.
So here’s a little heads-up on some of the good deals I have seen in-store and online. The good folks at Kohl’s sent me some samples of their Christmas goodies, but this post highlights both the samples and good deals that have shown up on my own The Recesssionista Radar tracking device. First up, the fashion. They have some great holiday sweaters and overall party wear. They sent me a sample of this Apt. 9 Sequined Cardigan, now on sale for $34.99. The cardigan sparkles with holiday fun in a tasteful way. No over the top reindeer or sleigh bells here.
For a little more chic cheap, pair the sweater with this blingy Simply Vera ring for only $13.50. I didn’t receive samples of this ring, but it turned up on my radar. I have seen many rings in this style for far more at other stores.
If you’re looking for special holiday PJs, or just warm winter sleepwear, have a look at the pajamas from Simply Vera and Dana. I received samples of some Vera flannel pajamas, and I can attest to their warmth and comfort.
But, I must confess, I fell in love with the Dana Buchman PJs I saw in store. Take a peak. There are both satin-trimmed separates and sleep shirts.
If you’re shopping for kids, there are great deals on toys and games with special savings on Fisher-Price and Playschool. I’m always looking for ways to combine giving with my shopping purchases, so I have to mention the Kohl’s Cares for Kids program. Both my niece and nephew love to read, so I like these story books that you can buy with the accompanying plush toy of the book’s leading character. It brings to the story to life and makes them feel they have made a new friend. I have actually checked out “If You Take a Mouse to the Movies” and its adorable. It makes for great bedtime reading 🙂
