Just in case you plan on hitting the mall over the long weekend, there are some good shopping deals that you need to know about.  Like the above deal running at Apple stores right now.  I took this picture at the Beverly Center Apple store of their special offer on Macs.  Through Sept. 7th,  Apple is giving free iPod Touches to college students–as well as teachers–when they buy a new Mac.  That’s a great deal, and the iPod Touch is a handy device for doing mobile work.

If you’re looking for fashion and home deals, here are a few things on my sale radar:

Macy’s Labor Day sale covers clothes, luggage, jewelry, kitchen appliances, and more. Online shoppers who spend more than $99 can get free shipping, and clearance items are an additional 25 percent off. And look for coupons and passport savings in your local paper for extra savings.

Saks Off Fifth is having a 25 – 50 percent off sale throughout their stores.

Outlet malls like Camarillo in Los Angeles and Woodbury Commons in New York are offering big savings.

Lord & Taylor is holding a Labor Day Plus event, where you can save 15 percent and an additional 10 percent off your purchases, through Monday, Sept. 6.

Old Navy’s Labor Week Sale offers 7 Days of Deals + Free Shipping.

J. Crew has some great items on sale for Women, Men and Kids. They also have codes on their website for savings on shipping.

Kohl’s is having a great sale over the long weekend, with extra savings during power hours.  Use code “SPREE4ME” to save an extra 15% off all items.  Read my previous posts on Simply Vera and Lauren Conrad collections for shopping recommendations.

Loehmann’s always has great savings on designer goods, but look for extra savings over the weekend on clearance items.

QVC is offering special Labor Day weekend event prices on select NEW items.  I have to check out the Jacqueline Kennedy collection for savings!

Looks for more sales at  Best Buy, and JC Penney.
