Last Min Christmas

The Last Minute Christmas deals are on.

UK Retailer John Lewis is posting record sales in this pre-Christmas week according the Guardian.    Last week, John Lewis spokes people noted that sales were show,  hypothesizing that consumers were waiting for the deals.     “It’s clear that much of Britain has once again,” Paul Nickolds, buying and brand director at John Lewis, told the Guardian.  That seems to be the case worldwide, as retailers like Target, Kohl’s, Best Buy, eBay, Marks & Spencers, H&M, ASOS,  and Nordstrom keep offering additional promotions to get consumers to hit the buy button.   So what looks good on these last minute sales to The Recessionista? See what’s on our radar, but remember, the after Christmas sales are almost here.

Stores are pulling all the stops and marketing promotions to get customers into the stores this Monday and Tuesday to finish their Christmas shopping.

John Lewis: sales on women’s fashion, iPads, TVs and more.  International delivery from John Lewis is now available to over 30 countries around the world.

Target is offering many household goods, including coffee makers, toasters and blenders for as low as $39.99.  Holiday wrap and bags  are  now $1.00 for some items.    For stocking stuffers look for 10% off on iTunes store gift cards and discounts on beauty items like L’Oreal Paris.

Kohl’s has extended their store hours and sale offerings.  Kohl’s stores are now open non-stop until Tuesday at 6 pm.  There are deals on everything in the stores including Food Network items, outerwear and women’s fashions.

ASOS has a 50% off sale going on for fashions for men and women with virtually worldwide shipping.  ASOS is saying they can still deliver by Christmas if customers order now.

ZARA new mark downs in store and online.

H&M has clothing and accessories on sale for as low as $4.99.  New markdowns are up to 70% of retail.

As retailers vie for your dollars, if you haven’t shopped, now may be a good time to finally spend a bit.
