The Limited Stores are closing January 7, 2017-Get the deals quick!
Last week I reported that The Limited Stores maybe closing. This week, it is official, the brick and mortar stores will close on Saturday, January 7th, 2017. I confirmed this closing date today with two store personnel at two different Limited stores. If you’re in the greater Los Angeles area, you can still visit a store. The two Los Angeles stores at the South Bay Galleria (Redondo Beach) and the Glendale Galleria will remain open until Jan 7, 2017. Both stores still have some inventory, including a limited selection of items from the Eva Longoria for the Limited line. The two Orange County store are also open until Jan. 7. Online, The Limited is offering 50% off all pants, 80% off all fragrances and 50% off all holiday dresses.
However, some stores in other parts of the country like Cincinnati are already closed. The online store may remain open until after Jan 7th, details are unclear about The Limited’s online presence.
My readers are reporting that there is poor customer service for website ordering and The Limited notes that it will take 10 days for website orders to be delivered. I’ve heard from many readers and my Twitter Followers & Facebook Fans this week that they liked the quality of the store and will miss it. Many of my readers shopped for their work clothes and pants at The Limited. With more and more businesses adopting a casual workplace, many women felt that The Limited still offered traditional work attire. The clothes from their Scandal inspired collaboration sold well for this reason.
So, this is a last call for The Limited readers, if any of you have gift cards or items that you want to stock up on before the stores clothes once and for all, then you have some time to get in your final orders. Beware that all sales are final, so this seems like a liquidation to me. According to The Limited’s website, “all sales are final and no returns or exchanges will be honored on purchases.”
If you head to your local store, you may find discounts as low at 75% off , whereas online the discounts are 50% off. I visited my local store and snatched up the above Eva Longoria dress in Mulberry for just $25.00. This dress is still available online for $50.00 on sale– reduced from the original $159.00, its a great deal. Other deals I spotted are the peplum sweater tops and the Contrast Trim sweater dress.
