Michelle Obama Joins Instagram

First Fashionista (aka FLOTUS) Michelle Obama continued her social drive by opening an Instagram account today and posting a picture from her visit to Senegal.  The picture was posted with the caption, “My first instagram! So inspired and so impressed by these extraordinary young women. -mo #FLOTUSinAfrica”  Michelle posed with Senegal’s First Lady Marieme Faye Sall and a group of Senegal school girls. The  picture shoes the First Lady of Senegal dressed in a traditional caftan along with a colorful handbag. I love her mix of traditional and modern fashions.

I also like the colorful dress Mrs. O is wearing in the picture posted on her Instagram page which looks like a white chiffon with a print overlay.  I don’t know who the designer is, but it’s gorgeous.  It reminds me of some of the Tracy Feith dresses she has worn over and over again.

During her Senegal visit Mrs. O has also be sighted wearing a Zero + Maria Cornejo black  & white dress from designer Maria Cornejo.   The dress looks a bit like a Rorschach Inkblot print, but looks stunning on the First Lady.  What do you think readers? Is the Michelle’s Sengalese style on target?
