Beautiful Oscar worthy gowns were a big art of Carolina Herrera’s stunning Fall 2010 collection. I was fortunate enough to see the collection a few weeks ago at New York Fashion Week.  The whole time I was watching the show, I kept thinking, which actress might wear which gown at the Oscars?   The blue gown above I could definitely see on Best Actress Nominee Sandra Bullock.  Or, if Renee Zellweger appears at the Oscar ceremony, it could be worn by her.  Renee is a long time Carolina lover.  Anyhow, I thought it might be fun to take my readers on a little walk down the runway and show you some of these beautiful gowns.  Its fun to try to match them with the nominees.

What  do you think readers, do you think any of these beauties will surface this Sunday on the red carpet? We’ll undoubtedly see Reem Acra, Oscar de la Renta, Marchessa Couture, Armani, Monique Lhuillier  and other longtime Oscar favorites. But I hope we see some Carolina Herrerea too. Her designs are stunning (although not recessionista priced.) The designer’s eye for detail is astounding and overall, her taste is impeccable.
