Pictured: The $5.00 CHWine Rose, Lot 37 on sale now
As my regular The Recessionista readers know, I love a good bottle of vino at a great price. I mean, what goes better with reading a declining 401(k) statement or working on the 2008 taxes, than a comforting glass of good cheap and cheerful vino? I have a particular fondness for a good Rose, developed during my travels to the south of France. There is nothing like that delicious Rose during the summer. So today, I want to give a shout out on a treat, a great Rose for only $5.00!!!
This offer is only 24 hours long. Buy Lot 37 for 50% off, only $5 a bottle!
Winemaker Cameron Hughes reports, “We have a few cases left, and yes, this is the same Lot 37 that has received all the
rave reviews. Happy April Fool’s Day! “
Here’s the description from CHWine.
Vintage : 2006 Appellation : Campo de Borja, Spain Grape : Rose of Garnacha (Grenache)Production : 7,000 cases Availability : August 2007
Taste : Gorgeous ruby red color. Aromas of watermelon, strawberry and white pepper. Tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher candy but finishes dry and crisp. This Rose is juicy with oodles of watermelon, strawberry and raspberries that greet you right up front. Excellently structured with some nice depth here, a little touch of white pepper lingers on the finish. This wine calls for summer BBQ’s filled with grilled vegetables, seafood and great for picnics!
I’m running off to order some now! Note, when ordering the wine is listed as being $10.00. When you add it to your cart, the price is reduced to $5.00.
