Tonight I discovered a new way to save when shopping at fashion mecca South Coast Plaza.  It’s called the Angelitos card.  These cards offer the bearer a 20% discount at over 115 stores and restaurants at South Coast Plaza until Oct. 20th.  The cards were launched tonight at a private party in the mall.  They will go on sale tomorrow (10/14) to the general public via kiosks throughout the mall, at the mall concierge desk and online via the Angelitos website.  So why should you purchase this savings card for the prices of $60.00 US?  Well, the first reason is it benefits Big Brothers and Sisters of Orange County.  And you know I love me some good shopping for a good cause 🙂 Other reasons to purchase are the cost of the card is tax deductible, and it brings you savings on fashion plus great dining at restaurants like AnQi and more.

I had the opportunity to chat with Angelitos organizer Pamela Schmider.  Pamela told me that the card is good at retailers like Bendels, Anne Fontaine, Coach, DKNY, Eileen Fischer, Jo Malone, Donna Karan, Fendi and Bendels just to name a few.

Of course, I had to ask her where she was going to use her card first. “I’m going to Henri Bendel to shop for accessories,” said Pamela.  “It’s a great way to update my wardrobe.”  Now doesn’t that sound like a good idea whether you go to Bendels or one of the other stores that accepts the Angelitos card?
If you purchase a card, it’s good at participating merchants until Oct. 20.  That gives Southern California fashionistas a week to shop, save and give to the Big Brothers and Sisters of Orange County.
