Sneak Peak: People Stylewatch Preview of Temple St. Clair and Tucker for Target
If you’ve been curious about what the new designer collections from Target will look like, the new People Style Watch has the best sneak preview that I have yet seen. There are some great pictures of the pieces by both Temple St. Clair (jewelry coming August 29th) and Tucker by Gaby Basora (clothing coming Sept. 12). Most compelling, at least for me, are the costume jewelry pieces by luxury designer Temple St. Clair. I have been wondering how Target would reproduce Temple’s luxe look using budget materials, but know I now. Temple St. Clair for Target uses gold-plated brass for the settings and colored cubic zirconium for the semi-precious stones. Pieces in the line include multi-drop charm necklaces, tear drop earrings, rings and pomegranate earrings. Below is a closer look at the Temple St. Clair for Target charm bracelet and tear drop earrings. If they look this good in store, I am in!
The pictures of the Tucker by Gaby Basora for Target pieces are appealing, but for me, they don’t have the luster of the Temple St. Clair for Target collection. There are plenty of her trademark prints and russian peasant inspired blousy tops and dresses. There is a also a good looking Persian Bomber jacket for $79.99 US that reminds me of the earlier Behnaz Sarafpour for Target Persian Lamb jacket (I’m still wearing it, and I love it.) The Persian Bomber jacket looks great shown with the Butterfly print camisole top. I’m not so sure about the dress, but again all items must be seen in store for proper fashion/quality/price assessment. I’ve seen other pictures of Tucker by Gaby Basora for Target on the blogs Target-Addict, Budget Babe and Nitrolicious, and none of the pictures look as appealing as the ones in People StyleWatch. I have to agree with my fellow blogger, Target-Addict that the Tucker for Target fleece jumpsuit is a non-event.
