Stella McCartney for Target Australia in Oz stores Oct. 29th

By  |

Big news from the land down under.  Stella McCartney has designed another collection for Target Australia that will arrive in stores Oct. 29th.   The preview pictures/lookbook are online at the Target Australia website now, and honestly, they look amazing! I bought some of Stella’s last Target collection for Australia via eBay, and I am still wearing it.  Not all of it worked, as some pieces were over sized, and some were petite.  Sizing really was all over the map on that collection.  Hopefully, Target learned from that and there will be consistent Misses sizing.  Sizes will be from 6 to 16 Australian Misses. If you’re not living in Australia, I’m sure most of the collection will be for sale on eBay on Oct. 30th. There are some gorgeous lace tops and dresses in the collection that remind me of Givenchy from the 1960s, ala Audrey Hepburn.

I’m also loving the lace insert Tees and collarless jackets.  Those will be style staples forever.  The collection also includes some very good looking, although pricey for Target, Stella handbags. The “pièce de résistance” may be this sequin embroidered flower shift dress.  It will be interesting to see the quality of this piece, especially since it retails for $249 AU. This is certainly not the typical Target garment.

I’m glad to see such a great designer collection being sold in Australia.  Fashionistas there have it tough.  Do you know they don’t even have H&M in the land down under?  They have missed all previous H&M budget collaborations.   Fortunately for me, I am about to welcome a visitor from Australia! 🙂 My dear friend Fiona arrives on Oct. 31st, just in time to get my Target Stella care package and deliver it.  Call your friends my fellow recessionistas!
